The AI-Ready Business Profile: What to Include to Get Discovered

Build a clearer business profile with specific services, customer context, relevant cases, credentials and traceable sources.

The short answer

An AI-ready business profile explains what you do, who you help, where you work and what supports your claims. Include specific services, customer situations, case studies, contextual experiences, traceable credentials, dates and contact details. Keep these facts consistent with your website and current business listings.

Make your business unambiguous.

Start with your business name, website, location, service area and contact route. Explain whether customers visit you, you travel to them, or you deliver remotely. Keep these details consistent across the places customers use to verify your business.

If you have multiple branches, make it clear which services and opening hours belong to each location. A beautiful profile is less useful when someone cannot tell which business or branch it describes.

The profile checklist.

InformationWhat to includeQuestion it helps answer
Identity and areaName, website, location, delivery areaCan this business help me here?
Specific serviceProblem, scope, approach, next stepDoes it do what I need?
Customer contextRelevant team, project, occasion or constraintsHas it worked in a situation like mine?
Case studyStarting point, contribution, outcome, sourceWhat has it actually delivered?
Customer experienceService used, situation, experience, limitationsWhat was the experience like?
CredentialIssuer, scope, source, validity where applicableWhat supports the claimed expertise?
Freshness and limitsDates, status, unknowns, availability checksWhat still needs confirming?

Build around a service, not a pile of facts.

A useful relationship looks like this: service → customer need → relevant experience → supporting source. The profile should make it possible to follow that relationship.

Illustrative service profile

Service: beginner AI workshops.

Customer: a small office team with little prior AI experience.

Need: learn to apply AI to recurring writing and document tasks.

Evidence to add: a workshop case, a participant’s experience, delivered materials or an applicable credential.

Still to check: supported tools, data-handling arrangements, format and current availability.

The example is a template, not a claim about a real company. Replace every field with information you can stand behind.

Make the strength of the evidence visible.

Keep company descriptions, customer experiences, customer-confirmed statements and external credentials distinct. Link to the supporting source where it can be shared. Give dated evidence a date.

A customer confirming a statement establishes that confirmation; it does not make every claim independently measured. Use a specific label that explains what was checked. Our verification guide shows why the scope matters.

Find the gaps before adding more content.

Choose three questions you want a potential customer to ask. For each, look for the service, a comparable situation, supporting evidence and a clear next step. Where the answer is missing, collect or publish that information.

You may discover that five similar testimonials add less value than one detailed case for a service you have never explained. Build coverage around real customer needs rather than a target word count.

Review the profile when a service, team, credential or delivery area changes. Update time-sensitive information instead of relying on an old success story to describe today’s offer.

Start small. Make it specific.

Begin with your identity and core services. Add the best evidence you already have permission to share. Then invite customers to describe the situation and outcome in their own words.
